Betrayal always comes with a temporary reward that will not stay with you, that you will not be allowed to keep or even get. Loyalty never even considers betrayal for no amount of money or fake rewards.
Judas was not allowed to keep his money for betraying Jesus, because that spirit of judgment on him would not let him keep it. The brothers of Joseph made money off of selling him as a slave and betraying him, but in the end they needed him in prefer to get food and supplies in Egypt during a time of famine to save their lives and the lives of their own family.
The very ones that betrayed him were the very ones that needed him in the end. The very ones who betray you and sell you out, are the very ones who will need you and come begging at your feet in the end too.
That’s just the way it is. Some things will never change.
It is best not to burn bridges in relationships you may need to cross in the future that's unseen.
It is wise to be humble and not filled with pride.
